St Mary’s C of E Primary School is a three- form entry, high achieving popular school located in Walthamstow, north-east London. St Saviour’s C of E Primary School is a two-form entry school in Walthamstow that has seen results rise year on year and they are now consistently one of the highest performing schools in Waltham Forest. At its last Ofsted inspection, it was judged as Oustanding in all areas. The school is well on its way to Outstanding in all areas, confirmed by St Saviour’s School Improvement Partner. The school was judged as Outstanding in its last SIAMS inspection. St Saviour’s is fully kitted out as a ‘Forest School’, with a focus on Early Years learning.
St Margaret’s C of E Primary School is a two-form entry school in Barking. At the last Ofsted inspection in 2013, the school was judged as Good. Statutory assessment was at or above national averages in 2018. The school expects a high standard of behaviour from all adults and children and works hard to establish a positive ethos. As at all Genesis Education Trust schools, St Margaret’s believes that children learn best when they are excited about their learning; for this reason, teaching is via themed approach. Through making strong links across curriculum areas, children begin to make connections and the learning experience is much richer.
Based within St Mary’s C of E Primary, the Teaching School operates the St Mary’s Teaching School Alliance (TSA); currently there are 10 member schools. As a TSA and National Support School (NSS), school-to-school outreach support and a range of training opportunities are provided. These include, National Professional Qualifications in Senior Leadership (NPQSL) and Middle Leadership (NPQML) – in conjunction with the Institute of Education. Additionally, Newly Qualified Teacher training, Outstanding Teacher Training and a range of bespoke programmes and support, including in Finance and Human Resources are offered.
Outreach support is provided via the school’s National Leader of Education, Beverley Hall, and a team of Specialist Leaders of Education – recruited and trained in conjunction with the Department of Education.
